Picking a gift for an assignment editor
An assignment editor is the person in a newsroom who decides who covers what and when, often while the phones ring and a story breaks mid-shift. They track the day's stories, juggle reporters and crews, and keep the morning meeting from falling apart. A gift that lands with them is something useful for the long, fast days in the newsroom: a hoodie for the chilly studio, or a mug that's theirs for the endless coffee. Put their title on it, assignment editor, or add the station or the desk they run, and it reads as a real nod to the job rather than a generic newsroom shirt. If you want something a little more personal, add their name or a year, like the year they started the role. Assignment editors rarely get thanked for the planning that makes the broadcast look smooth, so a gift that names what they do can mean more than you'd expect.
Assignment Editor gift questions
Can I add a station name or a desk to the shirt?
Many designs have a second line. Type the station, desk or department there, and the preview will show you how it sits under the title before you order.
Is there a dark option for this gift?
Yes. Dark tees and dark kids tees are available for this title, so you can pick whichever color suits them best.
Can I order shirts for the whole newsroom team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person.
What's a good gift for a new assignment editor?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the year they started is personal and useful, and it marks the new role without feeling like a big production.
What sizes do the assignment editor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an assignment editor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
