Gifts from Charlottesville
Charlottesville people tend to stay attached to the place, whether they're students who came for the university and never left, families who've been there for generations, or transplants who fell for the hills and the farmers markets. A Charlottesville shirt is a way of saying where they're from or where their heart is, and it works for game days, the long drive back for the holidays, or just a Saturday wandering the downtown mall. Because the city is small enough that people run into each other, a shirt with a neighborhood or a street on the second line feels personal in a way a generic souvenir tee doesn't. For a grad heading off to the next chapter, a hoodie with Charlottesville and the year they finished is a strong pick. For the transplant who misses home, a mug with the city name is a daily reminder of where they came from.
