Gifts from Chilhowie
Chilhowie is a small town in Smyth County in southwest Virginia, and the people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it, even after they've moved to Roanoke, Knoxville or somewhere farther off. A Chilhowie shirt is a way to say where you're from without a long explanation, which is handy when a new coworker or a college roommate asks. It suits the person who came home for the holidays, the one who still goes to the same diner, or the kid whose whole family has lived in the same few streets for generations. For a gift, think about what they'd recognize at a glance: the name itself, the year they graduated from high school, or a nickname the family uses. A mug fits the kitchen table, a hoodie suits cold mornings, and a kids tee or onesie can start a family tradition before the child can say the word. Type Chilhowie into the text box, check the preview, and add a second line if you want a year or a street.
