Picking a gift for a collection manager
A collection manager keeps the records, loans and accession numbers that make a museum or archive trustworthy, and most of that work happens quietly, in a back office or a storage room, long before anyone visits the exhibit. Their days mix careful paperwork with handling objects that are older than the institution itself, so the gifts they actually use tend to be practical and a little bit proud. A tee for the drive to a collections storage facility, a hoodie for a cold vault or a climate-controlled room, a mug that's clearly theirs for the long stretch of cataloguing. Put their title on it exactly as their institution writes it, and add a second line for the department, a year they started, or a collection they've worked on. The personal detail is what makes it land. Many collection managers also pass along a lot of the job to newer staff, so a gift that reads as a sign of respect for the expertise behind it tends to be remembered.
Collection Manager gift questions
Can I add their institution or department to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a museum, archive, department or collection name under the title. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is collection manager a title with a specific certification?
The title is used across many museums and archives, and some hold credentials from professional organizations. If you know their credential, you can add it as a second line, and if you aren't sure, the title alone works well.
Can I order shirts for my whole collections team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: pick one design, paste the names of your team, and choose a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the collection manager shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a collection manager gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
