Picking a gift for a creative writing professor
A creative writing professor spends the semester reading drafts, marking up the same comma splices and cheering on the one student who finally finds their voice. Their days are a mix of grading stacks of workshop pages, meeting with students during office hours, and trying to write their own work between committee meetings. A gift that acknowledges the writing life lands well: a mug for the early-morning drafting session, a soft tee for the workshop room that always runs cold, or a hoodie for the long afternoons of conferences and readings. Add a second line with a title they'd actually use, like Professor, Poet or MFA, or the name of the program they teach in. Personalizing it that way tells them you see the work they do beyond the syllabus, and it becomes theirs in a way a generic writer's shirt never will.
Creative Writing Professor gift questions
What title should I put on a creative writing professor's gift?
Common choices are Professor, Poet, Writer or MFA, depending on their role. If they hold a specific appointment or credential, use the title they actually use so it feels right.
Can I add the name of their program or course?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a program, department or course title. Type it in and check the preview before you order.
Is there a gift that works for both a professor and a published author?
A tee or hoodie that reads Writer or Author fits both roles, and the mug works for anyone who lives at a desk. Pick the word that matches how they describe themselves.
Do you have a design for a gift for the whole writing department?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you choose one design and paste a list of names, with a size for each person, so everyone gets their own shirt.
What sizes do the creative writing professor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a creative writing professor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
