Picking a gift for a director customs
A director of customs is the person who keeps goods moving across a border, which means long days of paperwork, tariff codes and phone calls with importers who want their shipment released yesterday. They're often the one who knows which forms need stamping before the rest of the team can do anything. A gift that acknowledges that kind of careful, behind-the-scenes work lands well. A tee or hoodie with their title is an easy starting point, and you can add a second line with their port, agency or region, or their years in the role, so it reads as specific rather than generic. For a team sending off a colleague who's retiring, a mug with their title and name makes a practical keepsake for the office. Customs work rarely gets public thanks, so a personal, slightly playful piece of merch tends to mean more than it would for most jobs.
