Picking a gift for a director gallery
A gallery director usually spends the day balancing a calendar of exhibitions, donor relations and install schedules, and then goes to an opening where they're expected to be charming for three hours. The gifts they keep tend to be the ones that suit that double life: a tee they can wear to a studio visit, a hoodie for the cold loading dock at six in the morning, a mug for the office where the coffee has long since gone cold. A director's title on a shirt says exactly what they do, which many people outside the art world won't guess. Add the gallery's name or the museum they lead in the second line, so the shirt means something to the people who share their work. For a director who's just taken a new post or wrapped a major show, a mug or hoodie marks the moment without making a speech of it.
Director Gallery gift questions
Can I add the name of the gallery or museum?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the gallery or museum name there and check the preview before you order.
Is there a version for a curator or an assistant director?
Check the profession designs, since many roles in the art world have their own page. Type the exact title they use so it matches their business card.
Can I put the year they started on the mug?
Yes. Use the second line for the year and the preview will show you how it sits under the title.
What sizes do the director gallery shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a director gallery gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
