Picking a gift for a director residence
A residence director, sometimes called a resident director, lives in or near a residence hall and is often the adult who keeps a building running. They handle late-night calls, roommate mediation, room checks, and the steady work of knowing hundreds of students by name. Most of the year is spent in a hall that is never fully quiet, so the gifts that land are the ones that feel like their own: something soft for a day off, something sturdy for the office desk where the coffee goes cold. Putting the words director and residence on a piece of clothing or a mug tells them you see what the job actually is. If you're buying for someone who has moved on from the role, a hoodie with the year they served can mean more than a card. Residence directors often rotate between campuses, so a shirt with the school's name in the second line is a warm reminder of a place they gave a lot to.
Director Residence gift questions
Can I add the school name or hall name to the shirt?
Many designs have a second line for a school, hall, or year. Open the design, type it in, and the preview will show you how it sits under the title.
Is there a version that fits a residence life staff team?
Yes. The Team Shop prints one design for a group, and you paste a list of names with a size for each person.
What if they have moved from residence life into another role?
Many people carry the title with them, so a shirt or mug still works. You can also add the years they served as the second line.
What sizes do the director residence shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a director residence gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
