Picking a gift for a doctoral fellowship
A doctoral fellow is usually deep into years of research, lab hours, grant applications and writing that seems to have no end. The gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge the grind: a hoodie for the cold library mornings, a mug for the coffee that keeps the experiments moving, a tee for the day they finally defend. Fellowship funding often means a stipend and a small lab or a shared office, so a personal mug or shirt is something they can take with them when they move labs or start a postdoc. Put the field or the department on a second line if the design allows it, and the shirt turns into a little piece of their own story. Whatever you choose, the detail that matters most is the one only you would know, like the year they started or the thesis topic they can talk about for an hour without stopping.
Doctoral Fellowship gift questions
Can I add my fellow's field or department to the design?
Many designs have a second line for a field, department or year. Type it in and check the preview before you order.
Is a fellowship title the same as a doctorate?
No. A doctoral fellowship is a funded position held while working toward or within a doctoral program, so use the exact title they hold.
What's a good gift for someone finishing their doctorate?
A hoodie or mug with their new title and the year is a lasting way to mark the finish line.
What sizes do the doctoral fellowship shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a doctoral fellowship gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
