Gifts from Downing
Downing is a name that could mean a few different places, and a Downing shirt usually means someone who's proud of where they're from or where they've landed. Because the word is less familiar than Boston or Chicago, your shopper can do a lot of the work: add a year, a street, a school, or the nickname the family uses for the town. A tee or hoodie with the name on the front and a personal second line becomes a conversation starter rather than a generic souvenir. It suits a family that wants matching shirts for a reunion or a hometown homecoming, or a gift for someone who has moved away and wants a reminder of home. Dark tees hold up well for everyday wear, while mugs work for the kitchen counter where people talk about where they grew up.
