Picking a gift for an editorial internship
An editorial intern is usually the youngest person in the room and the one doing the most unglamorous work: fact-checking, pitch logs, fetching lunch for the editor, and somehow still reading everything. They're often working for free or near it, sometimes on a laptop balanced on a tote bag between classes or a weekend shift. A gift that acknowledges the grind lands well. A soft tee for the late nights at the office, a hoodie for the cold newsroom, or a mug for the first real coffee of a deadline day. Put the word on it exactly as they'd describe themselves, and add a second line for their publication, their school or the year they started. It turns a generic shirt into the one they'll wear when they tell people they're in editorial. Internships often end in late summer or early fall, so a gift timed for the last week is a nice way to mark the finish.
Editorial Internship gift questions
Can I add the name of the publication or the year?
Many designs have a second line. Type the outlet, the season or the year there and check the preview before you order.
Is an internship gift a good idea for someone starting a new job?
It can be. Many interns move into full-time roles, so a design marking the internship works well as a celebration of the first step.
What if the intern is in a different field, like journalism or publishing?
Editorial is the word on these designs. If they use a different title, look at the other designs for the field or type their exact role into the text box.
What sizes do the editorial internship shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an editorial internship gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
