Picking a gift for an editorial supervisor
An editorial supervisor is the person who keeps a publication's standards from slipping. They coordinate the editors, check that copy meets style guidelines, and step in when a deadline is closing faster than the draft. Most of that work happens at a desk, staring at tracked changes, which makes a comfortable hoodie for long review sessions a gift they'll actually use. A mug with their title on it suits the office kitchen, where editorial teams tend to argue about the serial comma over coffee. If they're moving into the role or just earned it, a shirt that says editorial supervisor is a small way to mark the promotion without a speech. You can add a second line for a department, a publication name or a year, so the gift reflects the work they actually do.
