Picking a gift for an engineering professor
Engineering professors spend their days between lecture halls, office hours and stacks of problem sets, and most of them have a lab or a whiteboard full of half-finished sketches they'd never throw away. The gifts they tend to keep are the ones that nod to that life: a comfortable tee for a long afternoon of grading, a hoodie for the chilly lecture hall, or a mug for the first coffee of a committee-filled morning. Add their field or their subject area as a second line, something like mechanical, civil or electrical, so the shirt says what they teach as well as what they do. If the gift is for a retiring professor or a colleague who just earned tenure, a mug with their title and the year is a quiet way to mark the moment. Shoppers buying for a department can use the Team Shop to put every faculty member's name on their own shirt in one order.
Engineering Professor gift questions
What should I put on an engineering professor shirt?
Most shoppers add the professor's name and then a discipline such as mechanical, civil or electrical engineering. You can also use a title line like Professor or Dr. if that fits how they're addressed.
Are these designs suitable for a retirement gift?
Yes. A mug or hoodie with their name, title and years of service is a common choice for a retiring professor, and many people keep it on the desk or wear it to the next department gathering.
Can I order shirts for a whole engineering department?
Yes. In the Team Shop you choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person, so every faculty member gets a shirt with their own name.
Is there a version for a child who wants to be like their engineering professor parent?
Yes. Kids tees and baby onesies come in several engineering professor designs, so you can match a little one's shirt to the family's favorite professor.
What sizes do the engineering professor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an engineering professor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
