Picking a gift for a flight instructor
Flight instructors spend their days in small cockpits next to nervous students, calling out airspeed, walking them through crosswind landings and sitting through the same pattern work until it clicks. Most of them are building time toward a job flying for an airline or a cargo carrier, and the hours are long and often paid poorly, so the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that acknowledge the grind. A soft tee for the hangar or the flight line, a hoodie for the cold early-morning preflight checks, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the coffee they drink while planning the next lesson. Put their name on it, or add their rating or certificate, CFI or CFII, so the shirt says what they actually do. If you're buying for a whole flight school, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each instructor's name on their own shirt, which makes a better thank-you than another box of donuts. Flight school graduations and checkride season are good times to order.
Flight Instructor gift questions
Can I add CFI or CFII to a flight instructor shirt?
Yes. Type it into the text box after their name or on its own line. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a good gift for someone who just passed their CFI checkride?
A hoodie or tee with their name and CFI is a good choice. It marks the milestone and gives them something they'll wear to the next lesson.
Can I order for a whole flight school?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Are there flight instructor designs for kids?
Some designs come as kids tees. Use the product filter to see them, and check the design list for the exact wording.
What sizes do the flight instructor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a flight instructor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
