Picking a gift for a flying instructor
Flying instructors spend their days in the right seat, talking students through crosswinds, steep turns and the first solo, then going home to do it all again tomorrow. Most of them give far more time to other people's flying than to their own, so a gift that's just for them lands well. A soft tee for the flight line, a hoodie for cold preflight checks at dawn, or a mug for the coffee they drink while planning the next lesson. What makes it theirs is the detail only another pilot would notice. Put flying instructor on the front, then use the second line for a certificate they earned, a school name or the year they started teaching. Many instructors also keep a running count of students who soloed, so a number on the shirt can mean more than a title alone. Those touches turn a generic aviation shirt into something they'll actually reach for before a lesson.
Flying Instructor gift questions
Can I add a certificate like CFI to the shirt?
Yes, if they hold it. Type the credential on the second line. If you're unsure which one they use, ask them, or write their certificate in plain words so it reads clearly.
Can I add a flight school name or airport?
Many designs have a second line for a school, airport or year. Type the name in and check the preview to see how it fits.
What's a good gift for a new flight instructor?
A tee or hoodie with their title and the year they started teaching. It's a small milestone they can wear through their first years in the seat.
Are there designs for kids who want to fly?
Some designs come as kids tees. A young student who's just started lessons might like one with flying instructor on it as a joke for their own teacher.
What sizes do the flying instructor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a flying instructor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
