Picking a gift for a functional director
A functional director usually runs one part of a larger operation, like marketing, finance, operations or HR, and spends their days in meetings, budget reviews and the long stretch between quarterly results. Their work is mostly invisible to the rest of the company until something goes wrong, which is why a gift that says they're the one keeping their function on track tends to land well. A hoodie is a good fit for the early-morning commute or the cold conference room, and a mug suits the desk where most of the planning happens. Add the function they lead, such as Operations or Finance, on a second line, and the gift stops being a generic job title. If you're buying for a whole leadership team or a department, the Team Shop lets you put each director's name on the same design, so everyone gets their own shirt. Titles vary a lot between companies, so type the exact title they use day to day.
Functional Director gift questions
Can I add the department or function to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the department there, or change the main text to the exact title they use.
Do job titles differ between companies?
They do. A functional director at one company may be called a vice president or head of a function somewhere else, so use the title on their business card.
Are there kids or baby designs for this title?
Only a few designs exist for this title in kids and baby sizes. This title is mostly offered for adult tees, hoodies and mugs.
What's a good gift for a new director?
A mug or hoodie with their new title is a simple way to mark the promotion. Add the year they started if you want it to feel personal.
What sizes do the functional director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a functional director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
