Picking a gift for a genetics counselor
Genetics counselors spend their days sitting across from people who have just received hard news about a pregnancy, a diagnosis or a family history they never knew about. The work is careful and personal, and it often happens in small rooms at the end of long clinic days. A gift for someone in this field should acknowledge that. A soft tee for a weekend hike, a hoodie for cold mornings at a hospital campus, or a mug for the first coffee before a full calendar of consults will feel like something chosen with them in mind. Add their title, genetic counselor, and optionally a credential they earned, such as their certification, so the shirt reads as theirs rather than generic. If you're buying for a whole clinic or a graduating class of new counselors, one design with each person's name on their own shirt through the Team Shop is an easy way to mark the group. Many people in this line of work entered it through a graduate program, so a hoodie or tee for a program graduation can be a fitting choice in the spring.
Genetics Counselor gift questions
Can I add a credential like CGC after the title?
Yes. Type it into the text box on a second line or after their name, and the preview will show you how it sits before you order. Only include a credential they actually hold.
Are there kids versions of genetic counselor shirts?
There are a few kids tee designs. They're useful for a child who loves to show off a parent's job, though most people buy these for adults.
What's a good gift for someone who just finished a genetic counseling program?
A hoodie or tee with their title and graduation year marks the milestone well. It's practical for the cold months of a first job and personal enough to keep.
Can I order for a whole genetics team at once?
Yes. Choose one design in the Team Shop, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the genetics counselor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a genetics counselor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
