Gifts from Hernshaw
Hernshaw is a small place name that most people outside the area won't recognize, and that's worth keeping in mind before you write anything about it. If you know the town, you know what it means to the person you're shopping for: the high school, the diner, the drive in from the county road, the people who stayed. Those details are yours to bring in, not ours to guess at. A shirt or mug with Hernshaw on it is a way of saying where someone is from, and that matters most to people who have moved away and still call it home. Use the second line for a year they left, a street, a class, or a nickname only locals would catch. For anyone who grew up there, a plain Hernshaw tee or mug in their everyday color lands better than a fancy design, because it feels like it came from someone who knows the place.
