Picking a gift for an instructional developer
Instructional developers build the courses, modules and training materials that other people end up learning from, and most of their work happens behind the scenes. They interview subject matter experts, draft storyboards, test the quizzes and revise the same slide deck more times than anyone will ever know. A gift that names their job tells them someone noticed the effort. A tee with instructional developer across the front is a good fit for the days they're on a video call with a reviewer, and a hoodie works for the long stretch before a launch when the office runs cold. Many people in this role also carry a title line like learning designer or e-learning specialist, so you can add that second line to make it theirs. For the one who spends every day making other people's learning click, a mug with their job title on it is a small, honest way to say that the work shows.
Instructional Developer gift questions
Can I add a second line, like a team or specialty?
Many designs have a second line. Type in a specialty such as e-learning or a company name if they want one, and check the spacing in the live preview before you order.
Is this a good gift for a coworker who is leaving the team?
Yes. A mug or tee with their job title is a practical goodbye gift that they can take with them, and it's a nice way to mark the work they did on the team.
Do you have designs for other learning roles?
You can type any job title into the text box, so if they're called an instructional designer or learning experience designer, you can make that exact wording on any product.
What sizes do the instructional developer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an instructional developer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
