Picking a gift for a lab head
A lab head runs the bench as well as the team. They're usually the one who signs off on protocols, chases down the reagent order that never arrived, and still finds time to train the new postdoc on the good centrifuge. Long days in a cold room or a gowned suite mean they tend to wear soft, practical clothes under the lab coat, and they rarely get thanked for the work nobody sees. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is the kind of gift that gets worn to the next grant deadline. Add their name or the lab's name on a second line so it feels like theirs, not a generic lab shirt. A mug is a good pick for the desk that's always buried under printouts, and it's the one thing on that desk they'll be glad someone remembered. Lab heads often get gifts only at a retirement or a big publication, so a small, specific gift in the middle of an ordinary week tends to land well.
Lab Head gift questions
Can I add the lab name or a university under lab head?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type the lab, department or institution there and check the spacing in the live preview.
Is there a gift for a lab head who is retiring?
A mug or hoodie with their title and a line for the year they're leaving works well. It marks the end of a long run in a way a card often doesn't.
Can I order for everyone in the lab?
Yes. Pick one design in the Team Shop, paste each person's name, and choose a size for each one.
What sizes do the lab head shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a lab head gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
