Picking a gift for a landman
A landman works the ground before anyone drills it. They spend their days reading lease terms, tracking down mineral owners who have moved away, and negotiating with landowners who want to know exactly what a rig will do to their pasture. It's a job of phone calls, county courthouse records and long drives on gravel roads, and it tends to go unseen until the wells are producing. A gift that acknowledges that work lands well. A tee for the truck, a hoodie for the cold mornings at the well site, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the office coffee. Put landman on the front and add their company name or region on the second line, and it becomes a gift that says you understand what they actually do. Many landmen work in oil and gas fields where the weather changes fast, so a warm hoodie is often more useful than a flashy shirt.
