Gifts from Makaweli
Makaweli is a small town on the west side of Kauai, Hawaii, with a plantation past and a quiet, rural feel. A person from there, or someone who loves the place, carries it with them, and a shirt with the town name is a way to say where they're from without a long explanation. Because Makaweli is small, the gift works best when it's personal: add the year they graduated, the family name, or a second line that only someone from there would recognize. A hoodie suits the cooler evenings and early mornings people spend outdoors, and a mug is the everyday reminder of home for anyone who moved away. Kids tees and baby onesies make a good first gift for a family with a Makaweli connection. The product is simple, so the choice of second line does most of the work.
