Gifts for Manager Application Developments

Picking a gift for a manager application development

Application development managers usually run a team of engineers while still caring about the code, which means they're juggling sprint planning, release dates and a steady stream of questions from people who expect them to have answers. They tend to work long days in front of a laptop, often from a home office or a corner of the open floor, and the gifts they keep are the ones that make that setup feel a little more like theirs. A soft tee works for hybrid days and team offsites, a hoodie for the cold conference room that never gets warm enough, and a mug for the coffee that inevitably goes cold during a standup. Put the title on it as the main line, then use the second line for a team name, a product they ship or a year they started, so it reads as their role and not a generic job shirt. If you're shopping for a whole group, the Team Shop lets you choose one design and print each person's name on their own shirt, which tends to land better with a team than another round of donuts.
