Picking a gift for a manager new product
A new product manager usually lands in a job where they're juggling engineers, designers, sales and a roadmap that changes every quarter. They spend a lot of time in meetings, writing specs and trying to explain why a feature slipped. What tends to land well for someone in that role is a gift that acknowledges the work without getting too precious about it. A soft tee for the commute or a Saturday of errands, a hoodie for the air-conditioned conference room, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the first coffee before the standup. Putting the words manager and new product on it, or adding their team or the year they took the job, makes it personal to the work they actually do. If the gift is for someone in a launch season, a mug or tee with the launch year can mark the stretch of late nights they got through.
