Picking a gift for a mechanical designer
Mechanical designers spend their days turning rough ideas into drawings that machinists can actually build, often in CAD software and always with a deadline attached. They think in tolerances, assemblies and bills of materials, and they're usually the person in the room who asks how a part will really go together. A gift that acknowledges that work tends to land better than a generic engineering joke. A tee for the drafting table or a hoodie for cold shop floor visits is practical, and a mug for the morning coffee at a desk full of drawings is the kind of small daily reminder people keep. Add their job title or a second line with a team name, project or year, and the piece becomes specifically theirs rather than another office souvenir.
Mechanical Designer gift questions
Can I add a company or team name to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a team name, a department or a year there and check the preview before ordering.
Is this a good gift for someone just starting their career?
It works well for a new hire or a recent graduate. A hoodie or mug with their title marks the start of the job in a way they'll likely keep.
Can I order shirts for a whole design team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: pick one design, paste the names of everyone on the team, and choose a size for each person.
What sizes do the mechanical designer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a mechanical designer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
