Picking a gift for a mechanical engineering internship
A mechanical engineering intern is usually somewhere between still learning and starting to be trusted with real work. They're spending long days in a lab or on a plant floor, going to design reviews where they're the youngest person in the room, and trying to remember which CAD shortcut does what. Gifts that land for them tend to be practical and a little bit proud: a tee they can wear on a site visit, a hoodie for the cold machine shop, a mug for the desk where they're drafting their first real parts. Add the company name or the year they started, or the discipline if it's more specific, like thermal or controls. It turns a generic engineering shirt into a record of this particular summer. If you're buying for a whole intern class, one design with each intern's name on their own shirt is a nice way to mark the cohort.
Mechanical Engineering Internship gift questions
Can I add the company name or the year to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type the company, the year or a team name there. The preview updates so you can check the spacing first.
Is this a good gift for someone who just finished an internship?
It is. A shirt or mug with the internship on it is a nice way to mark the end of a summer, especially if they're heading back to school.
Can I put their engineering discipline on it?
Yes. Type the discipline, like thermal, controls or design, in the text box, either as the main word or on its own line.
What sizes do the mechanical engineering internship shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a mechanical engineering internship gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
