Picking a gift for a merchandise manager
A merchandise manager is the person who decides what goes on the shelf, how it's priced, and which product gets the endcap at the start of the season. The job means long hours around buying calendars, vendor deadlines and sell-through numbers, and it usually happens in an office or a warehouse rather than on the sales floor. A gift that acknowledges that work lands better than a generic one. A hoodie for the cold stockroom or the early flight to a trade show, a mug for the desk where the planogram lives, or a tee for the weekend off all work well. Add their title, or a line like Buying or Retail, so the shirt reflects what they actually do. If you're buying for a whole buying team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which tends to get a laugh at the next planning meeting.
Merchandise Manager gift questions
What does a merchandise manager actually do?
Merchandise managers plan and buy product, set pricing and inventory targets, and work with vendors and store or sales teams. Titles and duties vary by company, so if you're unsure what their role covers, ask a colleague before choosing a second line.
Can I add a second line like their department?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a department, a team or a year. Type it in and the preview will show how it fits.
Is there a design for a merchandising team of several people?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the names, and pick a size for each person.
What's a good gift for a merchandise manager who just got promoted?
A hoodie or mug with their new title is a simple way to mark the step up. Keep the wording as they've written it on their business card or email signature.
What sizes do the merchandise manager shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a merchandise manager gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
