Picking a gift for a model builder
Model builders live by patience. A kit that looks simple on the box can eat a whole winter of evenings: sanding seams, test-fitting parts, mixing a wash for weathering, waiting on paint to cure. Their workbench is half sacred, half disaster, and they know exactly where every tiny piece is. The gifts that land are the ones that nod to that. A tee for club meetups and the hobby shop, a hoodie for the cold garage or basement where the work happens, a mug that sits safely away from the glue and thinner. Make it theirs by changing the second line to the scale or subject they love: 1/35 armor, 1/72 aircraft, ships, sci-fi kits, railroad scenes. Or add their name, a build-club name or a year. Because many builders are also dedicated hobbyists, a design that jokes about the stash of unbuilt kits tends to get a laugh and a photo.
Model Builder gift questions
Can I put a scale like 1/35 or 1/72 on a model builder shirt?
Yes. Type it into the second line or the main text box and the preview updates. It works well for armor, aircraft, ships or whatever they build most.
Can I add a build club name?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a name, a club or a year. Type it in and check the spacing in the live preview before you order.
Is there anything for a kid who's just starting to build models?
Several designs come as kids tees, so a young builder can have a shirt for their first kits. Use the product filter to see which designs are available for kids.
Can I use this for someone who builds models as a hobby, not a job?
Absolutely. Hobbyists and professionals share most of the designs. Pick the one that fits their style, then add their name or favorite subject.
What sizes do the model builder shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a model builder gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
