Picking a gift for an operating room tech
Operating room techs, often called surgical techs or scrub techs, spend long hours setting up instruments, counting sponges and keeping the sterile field right while the surgeons work. Their days start early and rarely end on time, and most of the thanks they get comes from the team rather than the patient. A gift that shows you understand that is the one they'll keep. A soft tee for the commute or the post-shift nap, a hoodie for the cold OR, or a mug for the break room where everyone else's cup looks the same. Put OR Tech or Surgical Tech on the front and add their facility, specialty or credential underneath, such as CST or their own first name, and it reads as theirs rather than generic scrubs humor. If you're buying for the whole surgical team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
Operating Room Tech gift questions
Can I add a credential like CST after their title?
Yes. Type it into the second line or after the title. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order. Only add a credential they actually hold.
Is there a special day for operating room techs?
Surgical Technologist Week is in late March, and many facilities recognize techs during National Surgical Technologist Appreciation events. Ordering a few weeks ahead helps if you're buying for a group.
What's a good gift for a new operating room tech?
A hoodie or tee with their title and the year they started. It's something they can wear to work and it marks the new job without being loud about it.
Can I order shirts for my whole surgical team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the operating room tech shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an operating room tech gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
