Picking a gift for an operating room technician
Operating room technicians, often called surgical techs, spend long stretches on their feet setting up instruments, counting sponges and anticipating what the surgeon will reach for next. Much of the work happens in cold rooms and under tight gowns, so the gifts they tend to keep are the ones that feel good in the off hours. A soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the chilly break room, or a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't wander off during a long case. What lands best is a detail that shows you know the job. Put their name on it, and add the words operating room technician or OR tech on a second line so it reads as theirs and not a generic work shirt. If you're buying for a whole surgical team, one design with each person's name in the Team Shop makes a better gift than a single group lunch.
Operating Room Technician gift questions
Can I put OR Tech or CST on the shirt?
Yes. Type it into the text box, either on its own line or after their name. Check the preview to see how it sits before you order.
Should I use the full job title or the short version?
Either works. Operating room technician fits a longer design, while OR Tech is shorter and reads well on a mug. Choose whichever matches how they describe their work.
Can I order shirts for the whole surgical team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Is there a specific day for surgical techs?
Surgical Technologist Week is recognized each year in late March, which is a good time to order if you want the gift to arrive before it.
What sizes do the operating room technician shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an operating room technician gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
