Gifts for Operational Risk Managers

Picking a gift for an operational risk manager

Operational risk managers spend their days thinking about what could go wrong before it does: process failures, system outages, vendor gaps, the control that everyone assumes is working until it isn't. The job is largely invisible when it's done well, which is part of why a gift that names it lands so well. A tee for the office, a hoodie for the long audit season, a mug for the desk where they draft the risk register at 7 a.m. Add their title or a team name in the second line and it stops being generic corporate merch and becomes something they can actually wear to the team offsite. Operational risk managers tend to be the people who read the fine print, so a gift that gets the wording right is quietly impressive. If you're buying for a whole risk or compliance group, one design in the Team Shop with each person's name on their own shirt makes a good end-of-year gift that the team will still be joking about in January.
