Picking a gift for a pilot instructor
A pilot instructor spends long days in the cockpit with students who are nervous, eager, or both, then drives home still running through the day's landing patterns in their head. They know the feeling of a student finally making a clean approach on their own, and they spend most of their career handing that moment off to someone else. A gift that acknowledges that job lands well. A hoodie for the cold ramp or the flight line, a tee for the days spent in the training aircraft, a mug for the coffee that's been sitting in the briefing room since dawn. Make it theirs by adding their name, or the word instructor on its own line so it reads as the role they work hard to hold. If they've recently earned a rating or a new endorsement, add the year on the second line. If you're buying for a flight school, the Team Shop lets you choose one design and paste every instructor's name, so each person gets a shirt with their own name on it.
Pilot Instructor gift questions
Can I add a rating or an endorsement to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a rating like CFI, CFII or MEI there, or a year. Check the preview before you order.
Can I put the name of a flight school on the design?
You can type any text you like into the design, but make sure you have the right to use a school's name before you add it to a gift.
Is there a gift for a new flight instructor?
A hoodie or tee with their name and the year they earned their instructor rating is a good choice. It marks the moment and gives them something they'll wear through the first busy season.
Are there designs for kids who want to be pilots?
There are a few kids tees and a baby onesie for this word. They suit a child who talks about flying all the time.
What sizes do the pilot instructor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a pilot instructor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
