Gifts from Plain Dealing
Plain Dealing is a small town in Louisiana, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto the name wherever they end up. A shirt with the town on it works for a homecoming visit, a family reunion, or the friend who left for a job in Shreveport and still talks about the place like it's the center of the world. Because it's a small place, most people who recognize the name are already family or old friends, so a Plain Dealing tee becomes a quiet signal of where someone is from. It's a good gift for a graduate heading out of town, or for an older relative who still reads the local news. A mug suits the person who keeps a town's photo on the fridge. Adding the year they left, the year they graduated, or a line about the family name makes it theirs.
