Gifts from Plain View
Plain View is a small town, and a small town is where people know each other's names, their dogs and which lawn has been mowed on which Saturday. A shirt that says Plain View is how someone wears that without having to explain it to anyone. It suits a longtime resident who never left, a former neighbor who moved away and still misses the place, or a relative who keeps sending postcards from somewhere bigger. Because the name is easy to read at a glance, it works as a conversation starter at a hardware store or a county fair. For the homesick one, a mug with the town name is the simplest reminder of where the first kitchen table was. Add a second line for a street, a school class or a year, and the shirt starts to tell a more personal story than the town name alone.
