Picking a gift for a post doctoral associate
A postdoctoral associate has finished a doctorate and is now doing the next stretch of research, usually on a fixed-term appointment in a lab or research group. Those years are long hours at the bench or the computer, grant deadlines, experiments that fail for reasons nobody can explain, and a steady stream of manuscript revisions. A gift that acknowledges the work lands better than a generic lab joke. Put their title on the shirt, or add their field or the year they started, so it reads as their own. Lab coats and cold coffee are part of the picture, so a mug they can keep on the bench is a practical choice, and a hoodie suits the long nights in a cold building. If you're buying for a whole lab, one design with everyone's title and name on their own shirt is a better send-off than another sheet cake. Many postdocs also mark their first paper, a grant award or the end of their appointment, and a shirt with that year on it becomes a keepsake.
Post Doctoral Associate gift questions
Can I add their field or lab name to the design?
Many designs have a second line for a field, lab or year. Open a design and type it in, and the preview will show you how it fits.
Is post doctoral associate a title I can use on a shirt?
Yes. It's the title they hold, so you can type it as written or shorten it to postdoc if the design allows.
What's a good gift for a postdoc leaving their position?
A mug or tee with their title and the year they finished works well. It marks the end of the appointment in a way they'll keep.
What sizes do the post doctoral associate shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a post doctoral associate gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
