Picking a gift for a postdoctoral fellowship
A postdoc spends a few years on short contracts, long hours in the lab and a steady stream of rejected grant applications, and most of them are doing it on a salary that doesn't match their training. They're usually in the middle of a project that nobody outside their field has heard of, so a gift that acknowledges the work lands better than a generic science joke. A tee or hoodie with Postdoctoral Fellow on it is a small way to say you know they're still in training and still earning their place. Add their lab or their field on the second line, or the year they started, and it becomes specific to them. Postdocs also move between institutions often, so a mug works well for the desk in a shared office. Many of them carry a lot of pride about the title even when it feels temporary, and a well-made shirt gives that pride somewhere to show up.
Postdoctoral Fellowship gift questions
Can I add my postdoc's field or lab to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a field, lab name or year. Type it in and the preview updates so you can see how it looks before you order.
Is postdoctoral fellowship a title people actually use?
Yes. It's the usual title for researchers who've finished a doctorate and are working in a training position before a permanent role. Many are proud of it even when it's temporary.
What's a good gift for a postdoc who just landed a permanent job?
A hoodie or mug marking the move works well. Add the new role or institution on the second line so it celebrates the milestone rather than the old title.
What sizes do the postdoctoral fellowship shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a postdoctoral fellowship gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
