Picking a gift for a proc tech
A proc tech, short for procedure technician, spends the day in the cath lab, endoscopy suite or OR-adjacent procedure room, working alongside the physicians and nurses who perform the procedures and keeping the room, equipment and patient flow running. The hours can be long and the days are often on your feet, so the gifts that land tend to be the practical ones: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the cold procedure room, a mug that's clearly theirs for the break room. Put their name on it, and add their specialty or department if you know it, such as cath lab, endo or GI. If you're buying for a whole team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which tends to be a better team gift than another lunch order.
Proc Tech gift questions
What does a proc tech do?
A proc tech assists physicians and nurses during procedures, preparing rooms and equipment and supporting patients before and after. Titles and duties vary by facility, so check what they call their role if you're adding it to a design.
Can I add their specialty or department to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type cath lab, endo, GI or another department there and check the spacing in the preview.
Can I order shirts for my whole procedure team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Is there a credential I should add?
Only add one if they've earned it, and type it exactly as they write it, such as their credential abbreviation. When you're unsure, leave it off and keep the title and name.
What sizes do the proc tech shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a proc tech gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
