Picking a gift for a program advisor
A program advisor is the person students come to when the course catalog makes no sense, a degree audit has a hold on it, or they're trying to figure out whether a minor is worth the extra semester. They spend their days in advising appointments, reviewing transcripts and answering the same questions in slightly different words, and they often work late during registration periods when the office fills up. A gift that acknowledges that work lands best. A tee or hoodie with their title shows you know what they do, and it works for a day in the office or a weekend of errands. A mug on their desk is a small daily thanks. If you know their department, school or the program they advise for, add it on the second line so the shirt reflects their actual corner of the campus. Little details like that make the gift feel like it came from someone who was paying attention.
