Picking a gift for a project archivist
A project archivist keeps the records of work that's already finished, and the job is mostly patience: sorting boxes, describing folders, chasing down the one document everyone swears exists. It's quiet, detail-heavy work, and the people doing it often feel like nobody notices until something gets lost. A gift that shows you noticed tends to land well. Put their title on a tee or hoodie they can wear to the reading room, or on a mug for the desk where the finding aids get written. Add a second line with the collection they're working on or the year they started, and the shirt starts to say something true about their work. Dark tees suit the cold storage days, and a kids shirt can be a fun nod for a child who thinks a parent's job sounds like a treasure hunt.
Project Archivist gift questions
Can I add a collection name or year under the title?
Many designs have a second line. Type the collection, project or year there and the preview will update so you can check the spacing before ordering.
What's a good gift for an archivist who has just finished a big project?
A hoodie or mug with the title and the project name or year marks the finish. It's something they can use every day and point to as a reminder of the work.
Are there options for kids?
Yes. Kids tees and dark kids tees come with this word, so a child can wear a shirt that shows what their parent does.
What sizes do the project archivist shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a project archivist gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
