Picking a gift for a publications director
A publications director usually runs the whole output of an organization: the newsletters, annual reports, journals or magazines, and the production schedule that keeps them on time. The work is mostly invisible when it goes right, and the people in the role often spend long stretches juggling editors, designers and print deadlines. A gift that acknowledges that feels better than a generic office item. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is a nod to the job, and a mug with the title and their name is a quiet reminder on a desk full of proofs. Add the name of the publication or department on the second line if you know it, and the design starts to belong to their particular corner of the work. Many people in this role are hard to shop for because they already have plenty of tote bags and pens, so something wearable or useful for the kitchen counter tends to land well.
Publications Director gift questions
Can I add the name of the publication under the title?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a name, a department or a publication. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a version for a whole publications team?
Yes. Choose one design in the Team Shop, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
Does the title need to match their exact job name?
Not necessarily. If their official title is slightly different, such as publications manager or director of publications, you can type the exact wording into the text box.
What sizes do the publications director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a publications director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
