Picking a gift for a registered nurse float
A float nurse is the one who gets sent wherever the census is worst that shift: a med-surg floor in the morning, the ICU by afternoon, and a unit they've never worked before by night. They learn new charting systems in the middle of a shift and carry the habits of three units at once. The gifts that land are the ones that match that flexibility. A tee or hoodie with RN and float on it says they're the nurse who knows every floor and gets pulled into all of them. Add a second line for the credential they worked for, or the year they started floating, and it becomes theirs. A mug is useful for the moving-around life, since it's the one thing they can carry from unit to unit. If you're shopping for a whole staffing pool, one design with each nurse's name in the Team Shop makes a good thank-you.
Registered Nurse Float gift questions
Can I put RN and float on the same shirt?
Yes. Type registered nurse float or RN float into the text box, or split it across the main line and a second line for a credential. The preview updates so you can check spacing before you order.
Is there a special day for float nurses?
There isn't a float-nurse day. Nurses Week runs May 6 to May 12 every year, and it's a common time to recognize the whole nursing staff, including floats.
What do float nurses usually need from a gift?
Things that go with them: a hoodie for cold units, a mug for a shift that bounces around, or a tee for the drive home. Practical pieces they can use anywhere tend to get the most wear.
Can I order shirts for a whole float pool?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the registered nurse float shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a registered nurse float gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
