Gifts from Rensselaerville
Rensselaerville is a small village in the Helderberg hills of upstate New York, and the people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it even after they've moved on. A shirt with the village name is a way to say where you're from without a long explanation, and it lands well with the friend who left for a city job and still drives back for the summer fair. Because the name is long and unusual, most people reading it will ask you about it, which gives the gift a little built-in conversation. For someone who has moved away, a mug with the village name is the kind of thing that sits on a desk and gets noticed. For a new family or a young kid who's just starting to know where home is, a baby onesie or kids tee with the village on it gives them a head start on their own story. Pick the design that fits the person, then add a second line like a graduation year or a street if you know one.
