Picking a gift for a research professor
A research professor spends a lot of the week in a lab, a library or a stack of grant applications, and a fair amount of it in front of a whiteboard trying to explain something they've been thinking about for years. The gifts that land are the ones that show you know that world. A tee they can wear to a conference reception or a hoodie for long afternoons in an office that's always a little cold. A mug is good for the stack of coffee-fueled drafts and the manuscript deadline that keeps moving. Type the title you know they hold, like research professor or the name of their department, and add their name or the year they earned tenure or started their lab. Those small specifics make it theirs, and they're the details a colleague would notice first.
Research Professor gift questions
Can I add their name or lab to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a name, a lab, or a department there. The preview shows the spacing before you order.
Are there designs for a whole research group?
Yes. The Team Shop prints one design for a group. Paste the list of names and pick a size for each person.
What do I write if they hold a specific title?
Use the exact title they hold, such as research professor or their department name, so the design matches how they describe their work.
Is there a gift for a new research professor?
A mug or hoodie with their name and the year they started is a good fit for someone who has just taken a new position.
What sizes do the research professor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a research professor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
