Picking a gift for a residence director
A residence director usually lives in the building they manage, so the job runs past the office hours. They handle roommate mediation at midnight, hall meetings, move-in weekends, and the emergency call when the fire alarm goes off during finals. Most of them started as resident assistants themselves, and many still remember the director who answered their door at 2 a.m. A gift that acknowledges that long, often unseen workload lands well. A hoodie is useful for the chilly rounds they make after dark, and a mug suits the early-morning coffee before the first meeting. Add their title exactly as they use it, and consider a second line with the campus or building name so the shirt reflects where they actually work. If you're buying for a whole staff, the Team Shop can put every director's name on their own design in one order.
Residence Director gift questions
Can I add the full title, like Assistant Residence Director?
Yes. Type the title into the text box. The live preview lets you check how it fits before you order, and you can split it onto two lines if it's long.
Can I include the name of the college or building?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a school, building, or hall name, so you can personalize the shirt to where they work.
Is there a residence director gift that works for a hall or staff team?
The Team Shop lets you order one design for a group. Paste each person's name and pick a size for everyone, and each shirt prints with its own name.
What's a good gift for someone who just finished their first year as a director?
A hoodie or mug with their title and the year is a good choice. It marks the milestone and gives them something they'll use through the next move-in season.
What sizes do the residence director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a residence director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
