Picking a gift for a school crossing guard
School crossing guards are out in every kind of weather, usually before the first bell and long after the last car has pulled away. They know the regulars by name, the kids who wave, the parents who run late, and the one dog that always stops in the middle of the crosswalk. A gift for them should feel like it was made for that corner. A tee they can wear on a cold morning under a reflective vest, a hoodie for the hour they stand still waiting for the bus line to clear, or a mug for the coffee they need before the first crossing. Put their name on it, or the school they work at, and it becomes theirs. If you're buying for a whole crew of guards in a district, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a better thank-you than a card passed around the office. Many schools mark a crossing guard appreciation day in early spring, so ordering a few weeks ahead keeps the gift on time.
School Crossing Guard gift questions
Can I add the school name or a name to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the school name or the guard's name there. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a day to honor crossing guards?
Many schools and districts set aside a day in the spring to thank their crossing guards, and some local groups hold their own events. Check with the school to see what they observe, and order early enough to arrive in time.
What's a good gift for a crossing guard who's just starting?
A tee or mug with their name and the word crossing guard is a warm welcome. It shows you noticed the job and that they're part of the school community now.
Can I order for a whole group of guards at once?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the school crossing guard shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a school crossing guard gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
