Gifts from Shiprock
Shiprock is a town in northwestern New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation, named for the volcanic rock formation that rises from the desert nearby. People who grew up there or who have family in the area tend to wear their hometown everywhere, from the high school stadium to a road trip across the country. A Shiprock shirt is a way to claim that place, especially for someone who moved away for work or school and still thinks of the red rock and wide sky when they picture home. Pick a design that feels right to them, then use the second line to add a family name, a graduation year or the name of their school or clan. A Shiprock hoodie suits cold desert evenings, and a mug fits anyone who starts the day with coffee and a little homesickness. Those details make the gift theirs rather than a generic souvenir.
