Gifts for Solar Energy Engineers

Picking a gift for a solar energy engineer

Solar energy engineers spend their days in the middle of the transition: designing array layouts, checking inverter output, working through permitting and interconnection rules, and often climbing onto rooftops or out to utility-scale sites in the heat. They're proud of work that shows up on a roof down the street, and they tend to explain their job to everyone at family dinners. A gift that reflects that pride lands well. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is something they can wear to a site visit, a conference, or just a weekend project. An 11 oz mug fits the office or the truck. If you want it to feel like theirs, add their name on a second line, or a year, a company-free detail like the year they got their license or started in the field. Keep the text short and the look clean, since most engineers prefer a gift that looks sharp over one that looks like a novelty.
