Picking a gift for a stationary engineer
A stationary engineer keeps the building alive. They run the boilers, the chillers, the pumps and the controls that most people never think about until the heat or the air goes out. The work is early starts, cold rooms, dirty hands and a lot of quiet problem solving, often in a basement or a mechanical room nobody visits. A gift that acknowledges that tends to land well. A soft tee for the off hours, a hoodie for the chilly mornings on the roof or in the boiler room, or a mug that marks the coffee they drink while they check the gauges. Put stationary engineer on it, and add the plant, building or union local if you know it, so it reads as their trade and not a generic work shirt. Stationary engineers often hold a state or city license, so if you know what their license is called, you can say so in the second line; otherwise, their credential is enough. It's a practical trade, so a gift that's useful at work and comfortable at home tends to get worn for years.
Stationary Engineer gift questions
Can I add a plant, building or union name to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the building, plant or local name there. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Should I include their license on the shirt?
You can, if you know the exact name of the license. If you're not sure, the designs work fine with just the trade name and their own text.
Is this a good gift for a new stationary engineer?
Yes. A new engineer often starts at a new building or union job, and a shirt with their trade is a nice way to mark the start.
Can I order shirts for a whole maintenance crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the stationary engineer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a stationary engineer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
