Gifts for Sterile Processing Teches

Picking a gift for a sterile processing tech

Sterile processing techs work behind the scenes in a hospital, cleaning, inspecting and packing every instrument the surgical team will use, often on an overnight or early-morning shift that starts before most of the building is awake. They know the satisfaction of a tray that's packed right and the frustration of a missed count, and they rarely get thanked by the people downstream who never see their work. A gift that acknowledges the job itself lands well. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is something they can wear on a long shift or a quiet weekend, and a mug with their name is the one that will stay on the break room table. Put their name, the role and maybe their facility's department on the design. If you're buying for a whole department, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name, so everyone walks in wearing the same thing. Hospital Week and Central Sterile Processing Week are good times to order, though the exact dates vary by year, so check the calendar your facility follows.
