Picking a gift for a technical director
A technical director is the person who makes the show actually work: they run the rigging, the lighting cues, the sound levels and the crew that moves it all during a load-in that starts before anyone else arrives and ends after the last strike. Theater, concert and event crews know them by reputation as the calm voice on headset when something goes sideways. Gifts that land for this person tend to be practical and a little bit wry, the kind of thing worn to the venue or left on the production desk where the whole crew can see it. Put their title on a shirt or mug and it becomes the one they actually reach for during tech week. If they run a particular venue or company, add that line under the title. For a whole production crew, one design in the Team Shop with each person's name on their own shirt is a better thank-you after opening night than another round of pizza.
Technical Director gift questions
Can I add the venue or company name under the title?
Many designs have a second line. Type the venue, company or production name there and the preview will update so you can check the spacing.
Is there a kids version for a technical director?
Kids tees come in a smaller set of designs, so a kids option may be limited. Use the product filter to see which designs are available for that size.
Can I order shirts for a whole production crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the technical director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a technical director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
